The Stats Are Staggering!
Driven To Be Anxious
Our inability to escape the 24/7 fast-paced cycle of modern life has caused anxiety disorders to consume us, thus forming a growing community across the United States that has been stricken with a sort of cognitive plague.
Anyone who has suffered through an anxiety or panic attack, knows just how scary they can be. The vast array of debilitating symptoms and physiological effects can not only seem life-threatening, but are severely frustrating to self-diagnose and manage while leading a busy, demanding lifestyle.
No one can pinpoint the real reason why we are seeing a sharp rise in the number of people who are now experiencing anxiety and panic, but one can strongly hypothesize that it could have a lot to do with the exceeding speed and amount of data that our brains are forced to process each and every day. The parts of our primitive brain that cause us to respond to fear may be seeing these new impulses of constant information as a percieved threat.
The Scary Sensations of Anxiety
Feeling the effects of anxiety and panic can be different for each person and can have a wide-array of both mental and physical sensations.
Many people experiencing attacks may rush to the hospital because they believe they are having a heart attack as they feel chest tightness, rapid heartbeat, shortness of breath and tingling in the arms, some may experience stroke-like symptoms, while others temporarily have thought of impending doom, dizziness, nausea or find it difficult to concentrate.
* If you experience these types of sensations and have not been evaluated by a medical professional for it, please do so immediately to rule out any emergent issue.
Once you know it's anxiety and panic working against you, then you can be confident in the aggressive deployment of the C.O.M.B.A.T. method.
Deploying The C.O.M.B.A.T. Method
WARNING: Since the sensations of anxiety and panic attacks can mimic other serious and potentially life-threatening conditions, we ask anyone who deploys our method to be certain that they have seen a doctor and were told they are experiencing an anxiety related condition.
If you're battling with anxiety, now is the time for you to face the facts and understand that you are actually at war with the most primitive part of your own brain, the amygdala. The amygdala just so happens to control your immediate response to fear and perceived threats. It's actually a very important safety and survival mechanism that helps us stay alive when faced with danger.
For some of us, the amygdala can become very over-reactive to things that really aren't an imminent threat, yet it immediately sending waves of responses to our nervous system, bypassing the parts of the brain that could easily reason this threat away...but now it's too late.
The scary thoughts or odd sensations that cause you to think that something is seriously wrong have already kicked-in...is it a heart attack, a stroke, could it be a brain tumor or maybe all the racing thoughts spinning through your head make you think you're going crazy...This is what it's like to have an anxiety or panic attack!
Now it's time to correct the problem that causes anxiety and panic to boil over into a full-blown attack. To do this, you must learn how to cut the "fuel supply of fear", and that is exactly what the COMBAT method is designed to do!
Remember that changing a habit can be challenging and take a little time. The key is to stick with it and not allow your mind to be overcome with fear! Easier said that done, we get it...but STICK WITH IT!
